Vision: Grow in our commitment to diversity, embrace people of distinct backgrounds, and adopt a larger concept of culture that invigorates and informs our community.
Priorities: Encourage person-to-person and group-to-group activities that build relationships and participation. Develop ways to address discrimination in all areas of diversity.

Public Work & Diversity
We follow the model of Public Work, as taught by the Center for Democracy and Citizenship.
You can learn more about this transformative model for communities by clicking on the “Concept and Philosophy of Public Work” under the “About Us” tab on this website. Here are some of our Public Works that we celebrate:
June 2010
We hosted a community discussion titled, “Engaging Community Diversity for a Stronger Eau Claire.” We discussed ways to engage diversity in the Eau Claire community. We held a panel presentation with emerging community leaders followed by a discussion with residents from cross-sections of our city. The event explored questions like:
- What is social capital?
- What does diversity look like in Eau Claire?
- Why should I care about social capital and diversity?
- How do I interact with citizens not like me?
- How can we tap into our full potential within the community?

Upcoming Public Work:
We will be meeting with community organizations in 2011 to discuss the work of Diversity within Clear Vision. We are also partnering with an upcoming leadership training in the Eau Claire area. Have an idea of how we can partner with you? We’d love to connect with you about your ideas and share how Clear Vision and the Public Works model might be able to support your initiatives!
